4.2 How do I start conversation?
In this article you will learn how to start a conversation with your contacts inside regards
Starting a Conversation
- Go to any of the contact’s profile, click Get in touch.
- Regards AI gives you three flexible ways to reach out:
Option 1: AI Suggestions
- If you want a quick and thoughtful starting point, choose AI Suggestions.
- Regards AI creates conversation starters using:
- The contact’s recent LinkedIn activity
- Your saved notes about them
- Once you see a suggestion you like, click Continue.
Customizing the Prompt
- Before generating your message, you can personalize the prompt.
- You can:
- Edit the text to include context such as your last meeting
- Add personal notes
- Use the voice option to add details, which Regards AI will automatically convert into text
Choose the Platform
- Next, select where you want to send the message:
Choose the Tone
- Select a tone that matches your relationship and context:
- Professional
- Casual
- Exciting
- After selecting the tone, click Generate message.
- Regards will prepare your draft, review the generated message and click Share email.
Refine the Message
- If you want to change platforms, click the platform icon in the top-right corner.
- You will see two options, WhatsApp or Email. Select the platform you want to use and click Regenerate message to create new message. Regards will regenerate the message based on the platform you choose.
- Review the generated message and click Share message.
Send the Message
- Once you have created your message, click on Share Email or Share WhatsApp.
- Regards AI will open the selected app with your message pre-filled.
- You only need to press Send inside that app.
Option 2: Briefcase

If you have ready made templates you can upload that to Regards and use them in your conversation.
Read this section to learn how to create and manage templates and documents in the Briefcase, so you can send messages to your contacts in seconds without creating them from scratch.
- You will see the Briefcase option next to the AI Suggestions. Click the Briefcase to view the available templates that you can use for platforms such as Email, WhatsApp, and SMS.
Using an Email Template

All the templates you have created will be listed here. Choose the one that you want to send to your contact and click on Use this.
Read this section to learn how to create email templates.
- You can preview the message, make edits if needed and click Share email.
- After that, your default email app will open with the message already filled in. From there, you can review the message and send the email.
- After sending your message, return to Regards AI. When you see the pop-up that says, “Save this to interaction?”, click Yes.
- The interaction will be saved in the contact’s Timeline.
Using a WhatsApp Template

To send a WhatsApp template, choose the template and Click on Use this

- You will see your message preview. if you want you can edit it or Click on Share Message to send the message
- The pop-up will show with platforms such as WhatsApp, SMS and Telegram. Choose the platform to send the message.
- Click WhatsApp, and Regards AI will open WhatsApp automatically.
- Review the pre-filled message and click Send.
- After sending your message, return to Regards AI.
- When you see the pop-up that says, “Save this to interaction?”, click Yes, this will allow you to track for future follow-ups.
- The interaction will be saved in the contact’s Timeline.
Option 3: Use Your Own Prompt
- If you already know what you want to say, you can write your own prompt.
- At the bottom of the page, click the text bar labeled Enter your own prompt.
- You will be taken to the prompt screen.
- Type your idea in the text box, or use the voice icon to record a voice note.
- Regards AI will convert your voice into text.
- Next choose platform and select the tone and click Generate message.
- Regards will generate the message, review the draft and click Share email.
